Almost at the center of New Jersey congressional district 13 faces a sad state of affairs. As best described New Jersey 13th congressional district is under the haze of apathy. Year after year, important projects have been put on the back burner if not forgotten completely. Allocated funds for schools that where supposed to be re-built are not even spoken about anymore. Funds have been already allocated for construction of new schools ( that were promised to be re have not been used.) What happened you might ask? What bills have been introduced of lately? What tax cuts have the people of district 13 received? What has been done about the alarming rate of unemployment for Hudson, Essex, Union, and Middlesex Counties? Who has spoken for district 13?

What were our elected officials doing during their time in office?
Ladys and Gentleman once again we see apathy in Washington bailing the banks out leaves the people stranded. We know that letting the fox into the chiken coop is bad biz. Think about this bailout sounds good but it is not. If you bail out the banks they will simply profit from this. And those who are about to loose there homes will be out in the cold. BAIL OUT THE PEOPLE. Truly the banks are already tacking late, intrest, and so many other fees. The government should freeze and forbid making these such charges so that people can catch-up to their payments (at least fornow). And make cheks payable to the banks. But not give the money to the banks. So they can further profit from the demise our economy. People dont buy a homes with the intention of defualting on their loans and loosing their homes. Americans by homes on the premise that they will pay for it and own it. For that to happen we need to safeguard the financial streingh of the economy. Frankly ladies and gentleman our leaders just forgot about the relationship between jobs and a strong economy. Instaed we have let greed dictate our policies by allowing the ravid errdication of our job market through outsourcing and cutting jobs, that would be better produced here instead of elsewhere. Whole towns and cities across America are disappearing everyday because factories and plants steadily shutdown, and go abroad and leave you and I jobless. How exactly does that help the economy? And how much responsability for this falls, on the shoulders of our sleeping government? We have a mixture of market and command when did market command that americans be broke and jobless.
The answers to these questions and many other questions are in the voting records of the incumbents for NJs congressional district 13. Our incumbents were too busy passing bills of no immediate or impending importance. While the people of congressional district 13 rested asured their representatives were working for them their reps were discussing and voting on things like The Armenian Genocide resolution (H.Res. 106) was submitted to the House of Representatives by Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA), during the 110th United States Congress. It is a non-binding resolution calling upon the US President to ensure that the foreign policy of the United States reflects appropriate understanding and sensitivity concerning issues related to human rights, ethnic cleansing, and genocide documented in the United States record relating to the Armenian Genocide, and for other purposes. While the economy futher and further deteriorated our incumbents were voting for war. Taxes been raised considerably in thes last 8 years while our incubents have harde at work forming part of useless committees and thereby wasting the time they should of used to address the issues.
Ladies and gentleman the job of the congressman or woman is as defined by the position Members of Congress represent the people of their district. The people share their views with their Congressman, who in turn, votes on matters in a way that best suits the needs of the people in that district. Wikipedia defines the term "congressman" as : Try to improve the communities they represent. Assist people with constituent services. Well the sad truth is that representative have been doing some of what they should do, but nothing they are supposed to do for us, the people of NJ congressional district 13. Instead Mr. Albio has been busy being in one 1001 committees (

Very impressive but what has he done late to alleviate the perilous financial situation of district 13 is the question. This same attitude of laxness has been prevalent administration after administration, seat holder after seat holder time after time. Does anyone see where and how excatly, they are doing their job and serving the people of district 13. Or for that matter when was the last time our seat holders did something for district 13 that needs to be done, like: 1) Lowering taxes, 2) Extend the reach of programs for seniors, 3) Build new schools for our children and equip them with state the art teachers and materials, 4) When was the last time they introduced a bill to attract investmnets to district 13 (which will ultimately improve the financial status of the area).
These questions need to be asked by you and answered by anyone representing us. After all our government is a government of representation. For the answer to these questions and more contact us at whatmatters@gmx.com.
